My contribution to the ‘If I could change one thing about HR’ debate is up at XpertHR this morning. I am a bit late to the party with my piece because there are a number of things I would like to change about HR. When Michael Carty first put the question to me, a couple of months ago, I found it difficult to focus my answer for a while. Eventually, I chose to write about the lack of business understanding and ability among many HR people because I think that most of the other things that I would like to change about HR come from that root cause.
