It’s a stereotype many HR people have worked hard to disprove over the years.
Alas, Paula Jones went and reinforced it this evening.
On the whole, she did well. Great product, good team spirit, good sales. Sirallan was clearly impressed and seemed disappointed that her team had lost. The other team were rubbish and only won because Paula spectacularly failed to control her costs.
It was a mistake made in the heat of the moment and I did feel sorry for her but she hasn’t done the HR profession any favours.
