Maximum respect to Dawn Spalding, editor of Personnel Today, who managed to get a post up at 8.30 this morning about last night’s Personnel Today Awards. I was at the party until 2.30am too and I didn’t wake up until 9am this morning. I certainly wouldn’t have been capable of writing a post at 8.30.
Having said that, looking at Dawn’s post more closely, it is fairly generic. There is nothing she couldn’t have written yesterday and then tweaked in the light of last night’s events. At least, that’s what I would have done in her position.
It’s interesting to note that there is nothing else about the event on the Personnel Today website and none of their other blogs have been updated. That’s because the rest of them are still in bed.
Anyway, it was certainly a good bash. Good food, plenty of booze and a disco which even got me up dancing at one point. It’s amazing what eleventeen glasses of red wine can do.
And it was nice to see a major public sector organisation sponsoring the event too.

Did you have a headache?
Yes but it’s wearing off now.
