Training – “as welcome as a cockroach in my salad”

If you want to read a really funny blog, you should visit Harry Hutton’s “Chase me, ladies, I’m in the cavalry“.

Here’s what he thinks about training:

Have to go to another of their stinking training days in a minute. I don’t believe in “training”; I believe you should let people work it out for themselves, then shout at them when they get it wrong.

A lot of managers take that view too, even though they wouldn’t say it out loud.

  1. Thanks for the into to brilliant blog!

I do worry that people think that training is just a day off and forget that if they sit up listen and join in they might just learn something that they can use for the rest of their lives!

    Squash that cockroach!
